The Uetersener copper beech is a natural monument in Uetersen , Pinneberg district . Due to its location on the B 431 , it is the most popular natural monument in Uetersen.

The copper beech ( Fagus sylvatica f. Purpurea ) has been listed as a natural monument at the Lower Nature Conservation Authority of the Pinneberg district with the number 06/01 under the designation purple beech since December 19, 1997 . The age of the beech is given as around 250 years.

The beech is in very good condition with only a small amount of dead wood in the crown. The trunk is full of wood and without any noticeable impairments. The tree has a large crown with a diameter of 27.30 and a height of about 22  meters . The trunk has a circumference of about 5.30 meters at the point of its smallest diameter. Measured at a height of one meter, the trunk circumference is 6.40 meters.

It is one of the distinctive and old tree specimens in southern Schleswig-Holstein (probably the oldest copper beech there).
