Uganda Communications Commission

The Uganda Communications Commission (UCC) is the national regulatory authority for telecommunications in Uganda , based in Kampala . Its goals are supervision as well as promotion of the communication sector in Uganda. Among other things, she is responsible for the allocation of frequencies.

It was established in 1997 on the basis of Chapter 106 of the Uganda Communications Act. The seven-person commission is headed by the chairman and managing director. AMS Katahoire currently holds this position.
