history

In 1380 the Junkers von Ulroide sold the Uhlrather Hof. In a tax estimate from 1565, the property is described as in ruins and it is noted that the chimney fell victim to a flood of the Agger a few years ago.

Uhlrather Hof was also the name of the restaurant that was built near the ruins. The Uhlrather Hof forest restaurant was opened on March 15, 1903 by the new tenant Franz Jung. He invited z. B. in the Hennefer Zeitung from March 15, 1903, regularly for concerts and summer parties in the large garden restaurant, which offered space for about 2000 guests. From 1903 the Siegburger Schützenverein St. Hubertus 08 had built a shooting range on a lease, but after the end of the First World War it was confiscated by the French occupying forces on December 7, 1918 and completely destroyed by demolition when it was returned in September 1919. After it was only allowed to shoot with small calibers, the lease was returned to the city of Siegburg in April 1927. On August 23, 1944, three Luxembourg prisoners of war from the Siegburg prison were shot here, for whom a memorial plaque was erected.

The forest restaurant closed after the Second World War and was then used by the city of Siegburg as an emergency shelter. For the construction of B 56 N, the site was on the road load carrier collar sold, and the National Road Administration tore the restaurant from August 1964th
