The Uidong Valley is a valley on King George Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . On the Weaver Peninsula , it lies north of the North Spit and opens west to Maxwell Bay .
South Korean scientists named it after a valley of the same name on Mount Bukhansan north of the South Korean capital Seoul .
