The Weaver Peninsula is a small peninsula in Maxwell Bay off King George Island in the Archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It separates Collins Harbor from Marian Cove and ends in North Spit .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1977 after the geologist Stephen Donald Weaver (* 1947) from the University of Birmingham , who was part of a team for the British Antarctic Survey in this area in 1975 .
