Uli Wiesmeier

Uli Wiesmeier (born January 26, 1959 ) is a German photographer who lived in the Blue Land on the edge of the Alps in Upper Bavaria for a long time. Since 2017 he has lived at the Gruberhof (1370m) in the South Tyrolean community of Lüsen (BZ).

During a four-year break was he as a professional in Paragliding Paragliding active. In 1989 he was the first to fly over 100 km with a paraglider (Bitterwasser, Namibia) and won numerous national and international titles, including a. Pre-Worldcup overall victory 1991, Worldcup overall victory 1992, German cross-country champion in 1990, 2011 and 2013.

Since 1993 he has returned to photography. He has been specializing in alpine topics for a long time. His pictures are published worldwide.
