Ulrich Brand (historian)

Ulrich Brand (* in the 20th century ) is a German historian and editor of the Bad Emser Hefte series .

Life

Ulrich Brand studied at the University of Marburg , where he graduated from the Faculty of Natural Sciences in 1968 with a dissertation on the subject of the development of industry in the southern states of the USA. With a special focus on the petrochemical industry, he received his doctorate.

Since the end of 1981, Ulrich fire the editor in charge of the first as special editions of the Club News of the Association of History, monuments and landscaping eV based in Bad Ems published Bad Emser Hefte . Brand has chaired the association from 1983 to 1994, then again since 2012.

Brand is a member of the Historical Commission for Nassau and chairman of the German Association for Historical Metrology (Measure & Weight).
