Ulrich Schweier
Ulrich Schweier (* around 1955) is a German Slavic scholar and professor of Slavic studies at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich .
He was appointed to the Faculty of Linguistics and Literature in 1996, where he teaches Slavic Philology in Department II . Schweier's areas of work are historical and text linguistics , the morphology and typology of Slavic languages and Ukrainian studies .
He is working on projects including the Excellence Initiative of the Graduate School for East and Southeast European Studies (with the University of Regensburg) and the online information system KODEKS for teaching about the Slavic Middle Ages, which he set up with the University of Bamberg .
