Ulrich von Rechberg the Elder († after 1326) was the ruler of Kellmünz and Sindelfingen .

family

Ulrich von Rechberg married the Countess Palatine Agnes von Tübingen († 1344 ). Agnes was a daughter of Gottfried I of Tübingen († January 30, 1316), the Count of Böblingen and Count Palatine of Tübingen .

Through his wife he received her Palatinate Tübingen legacy in Kellmünz and Sindelfingen. His sons Ulrich and Hans shared the inheritance in 1326 under their father's advisory board: Ulrich von Rechberg received Sindelfingen and neighboring goods, Hans received the Upper Land possessions, including Kellmünz. Ulrich sold Sindelfingen back half of it to Count Eberhard III in 1351 . and Ulrich von Württemberg and the other half to his brother. But Kellmünz remained in the Rechberg possession.

The Lords of Rechberg owned the rule, at least in part, only in leasable capacity. The upper property remained connected to the Palatinate County of Tübingen and, when this was sold to Count Ulrich by Count Palatine Göz and Wilhelm, the nephews (not the brothers and even less the father and uncle) of Agnes von Rechberg in 1342, came to the same House of Württemberg, which from that time on was feudal lord not only of Kellmünz, but also of Babenhausen and other old parts of the former County of Kellmünz.

After his death he was buried in Sindelfingen.
