Reversal of the rudder action

The reversal of the rudder action is a process of aeroelasticity or a local stall , in which the rudder action takes place against the rudder deflection.

If the rudder action is reversed through aeroelasticity, the control surface rotates the guide surface in such a way that the overall effect counteracts the rudder deflection. This happens especially at high flight speeds.

If, on the other hand, the flow breaks down, especially at the ailerons , this happens due to the particularly slow flight speed in connection with a large rudder deflection.
