Circulation days

Circulation days is a term used in logistics and describes the number of days that a load carrier / container ( e.g. a small load carrier (KLT)) needs for a complete cycle.

This includes the full product cycle

  • Production time (if production takes place directly in the load carrier)
  • Storage of the finished products at the supplier
  • Provision and loading
  • Full load transport
  • Storage and provision at the customer

and the empties cycle

  • Storage of empties by the customer
  • Return of empties
  • Cleaning the load carrier
