Environmental Alliance Saxony
The Environmental Alliance of Saxony is an agreement between the Saxon state government and the Saxon economy. It serves to support voluntary measures to implement corporate environmental goals and thus to reduce environmental pollution .
Development of the alliance
A second agreement between the Saxon agricultural policy and agriculture and forestry was signed on September 9, 1999. On October 27, 2010, the two alliances merged to form what is now the “Saxony Environmental Alliance”. The alliance was updated in June 2014 as part of the 6th environmental conference of the Chamber of Crafts Chemnitz. But this time not for five years, but only until the end of 2016. The aim of the alliance is to strengthen environmentally friendly economic activity in Saxony and to promote communication between the state and business to solve problems in the area of environmental protection.
