The environmental law blog is a weblog that publishes developments and findings from Austrian environmental law . The environmental law blog is a hybrid between scientific and popular science (online) specialist literature in the field of public commercial law in Austria. Peter Sander started the project in 2007.

Authors from the university sector as well as from practice write legal and legal-political short articles on topics of environmental law, which they say they are currently working on according to scientific principles. The special thing about the environmental law blog in comparison to other media in this field of law is its daily or weekly topicality. While publications in other relevant media often wait months after a manuscript has been submitted, judiciary discussions and comments on current legislative proposals in the field of Austrian environmental law appear on the environmental law blog promptly and usually first at all: groundbreaking decisions by the courts or freshly passed legislative amendments are discussed on a daily basis. These contributions are available to the public immediately after they have been written. According to its own information, the environmental law blog offers the possibility that the legal scholar who deals with basic dogmatic questions can publish an abridged version of his / her work results ad hoc, as can the ministry's legal practitioner with thoughts on new legal provisions or the official lawyer current developments from his / her daily decision-making practice.
