União das Freguesias de Belmonte e Colmeal da Torre , or Belmonte e Colmeal da Torre for short , is a municipality ( Freguesia ) in the Portuguese district ( concelho ) of Belmonte . 3912 people live here on an area of 38.33 km² (figures as of 2011).
The municipality was created in the course of the administrative reorganization in Portugal on September 29, 2013 by amalgamating the dissolved municipalities Belmonte and Colmeal da Torre . Belmonte became the seat of the new municipality, while the municipal administration in Colmeal da Torre remained as a citizens' office.
