Universal network

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A broadband , integrated telecommunications network planned by Deutsche Telekom in the 1980s was designated as a universal network , which, in addition to ISDN, was supposed to integrate individual communication services such as video telephony and the mass media broadband distribution services of television and radio . However, the planning was discontinued in the 1980s.

Around 1982 there was a conceptual shift after the SPD / FDP government; previously the term universal network was often used synonymously for broadband ISDN and integrated broadband telecommunications network (IBFN).
