The Universidad Pedagógica Nacional (UPN; dt .: National Pedagogical University ) is a specialized academy for pedagogy founded in Mexico City in 1978 , which now has around 50 university campuses nationwide . The campus in Mexico City is the oldest and largest of these with around 25,000 students. The building was designed by the architects Teodoro González de León and Abraham Zabludovsky .

The UPN is to be split off from the Secretaría de Educación Pública and become an autonomous university.
