The University of Cần Thơ (Vietnamese: Trường Đại học Cần Thơ, English: Can Tho University) is a university in the city of Cần Thơ , the largest city in the region of the Mekong Delta . It is a multidisciplinary university and one of the leading universities in the Mekong Delta region . It is also one of the most important universities in Vietnam . According to the founding resolution of 1966, the university emerged from six universities located in Cần Thơ. The city's pedagogical, medical and art-historical university as well as the general and agricultural universities were combined.
