Mention in popular literature

In the novel, The Physician by Noah Gordon , who plays in the 11th century, the main character Robert Jeremy Cole travels from England to distant Isfahan, in order to study the Arabic medicine. Noah Gordon points out, however, that he modeled the medieval college on the medieval Azudi hospital in Baghdad .
