The Mzuzu University is in Luwinga , northwest of Mzuzu in Malawi .
The access to the Mzuzu University campus is via the M1 Mzuzu / Karonga and is about six kilometers from the city center. The campus itself covers about one square kilometer. The University of Mzuzu is independent from the other universities in the country and has its own administrative structure. The University of Mzuzu was founded in 1997 by the Malawi Parliament.
