The University Library of the Technical University of Hamburg (TUB) is a central facility and university library of the Technical University of Hamburg .
The media inventory of the university library comprises around 480,000 volumes. 20% of the holdings are freely accessible on an area of more than 1,700 m² in the reading rooms, around 80% of the holdings are stored in magazines , and these holdings can be accessed within 30 minutes.
The TUB reading rooms offer:
- approx. 245 current scientific journals in printed form
- over 31,000 electronic journals
- approx. 51.00 digital books (e-books)
- over 21,500 volumes in the textbook collection
- over 318 workplaces, 100 of which are for group work
- 36 of these workplaces equipped with PCs for catalog and internet access
- a multimedia workstation
- direct access to a total of 61,000 media.
