The Universitas Katolik Parahyangan ( UNPAR for short ) is a Roman Catholic private university in Bandung on Java , Indonesia .

The college was founded in 1955 by the Catholic Order of the Holy Cross . Precursor was that of Pierre Marin Arntz OSC , Bishop of Bandung, and Paternus Nicholas Joannes Cornelius Geise OFM , Bishop of Bogor, founded Akademi perniagaan . In 1961 it was recognized as a university. Around 10,000 students are trained in Bachelor, Master and PhD programs at seven faculties.

The current president of the foundation is Antonius Subianto Bunjamin OSC, bishop of the Bandung diocese .
