The Roman Catholic Diocese of Bandung ( Latin Dioecesis Bandungensis , Indonesian Keuskupan Bandung ) is in Indonesia located Roman Catholic diocese based in Bandung .
history
Pope Pius XI founded the Apostolic Prefecture Bandung on April 20, 1932 with the Breve Romanorum Pontificum from the cession of territory by the Apostolic Vicariate of Batavia .
On October 16, 1941, it was promoted to the Apostolic Vicariate . On January 3, 1961, it was elevated to a diocese.
In 1955 the Universitas Katólika Parahyangan was founded in Bandung on Java by the Order of the Holy Cross.
