John Pujasumarta

Johannes Maria Trilaksyanta Pujasumarta (born December 27, 1949 in Surakarta , † November 10, 2015 in Semarang ) was an Indonesian clergyman and Roman Catholic Archbishop of Semarang .

Life

Johannes Maria Trilaksyanta Pujasumarta was ordained a priest on June 25, 1977 .

Pope Benedict XVI appointed him Bishop of Bandung on May 17, 2008 . The Archbishop of Jakarta , Julius Riyadi Cardinal Darmaatmadja SJ , donated him episcopal ordination on July 16 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Leopoldo Girelli , Apostolic Nuncio in Indonesia and East Timor , and Ignatius Suharyo Hardjoatmodjo , Archbishop of Semarang and Military Bishop of Indonesia .

On November 12, 2010 he was by Benedict XVI. appointed Archbishop of Semarang and introduced to office on January 7 of the next year.
