The Roman Catholic Diocese of Malang ( lat. : Dioecesis Malangensis ) is in Indonesia located Roman Catholic diocese based in Malang .
history
Pope Pius XI founded the Apostolic Prefecture Purwokerto with the Breve Nihil antiquius on April 27, 1927 from cession of territory by the Apostolic Vicariate of Batavia .
She was elevated to the Apostolic Vicariate on March 15, 1939 . It was raised on January 3, 1961 to the diocese, which was subordinated to the Archdiocese of Semarang as a suffragan .
