The Diocese of Sanggau ( lat. : Dioecesis Sanggauensis ) is in Indonesia located Roman Catholic diocese based in Sanggau .

history

The diocese Sanggau was on April 9, 1968 by Pope Paul VI. Established from the cession of territory by the Archdiocese of Pontianak and the Diocese of Ketapang as the Apostolic Prefecture of Sanggau . The Apostolic Prefecture of Sanggau was raised to a diocese by Pope John Paul II on June 9, 1982 and was subordinate to the Archdiocese of Pontianak as a suffragan .
