The Archdiocese of Kupang ( Latin Archidioecesis Kupangensis ) is a Roman Catholic Archdiocese based in Kupang , Indonesia .

history

Pope Paul VI founded the diocese on April 13, 1967 from cessions of territory of the diocese Atambua , which was subordinated to the archdiocese of Ende as a suffragan diocese.

On October 23, 1989, it was raised to the rank of Metropolitan Archdiocese.
