CKLG-FM (96.9 Jack FM) is a privately owned radio broadcaster based in Vancouver , Canada . The station belongs to Rogers Communications in Canada. Outside Canada, the format is distributed through the SparkNet Communications Group, a network of 60 radio broadcasters in the United States and Europe. The first Jack FM station in Canada went on air in December 2002 in Vancouver. The broadcast format corresponds to the adult contemporary format.

history

Originally, the development of the station began in 2000 with a simple internet stream, i. H. the founder of the broadcaster Bob Perry only broadcast his program over the Internet. Due to the popularity of the station's listeners and the eye-catching fictional name "Cadillac Jack" Garrett. As a result, the station achieved a higher level of awareness and was broadcast under licenses from the Canadian media operator Rogers Communications . In 2002, the first real transmitter was founded in Vancouver by Rogers Communications. In 2004, the broadcast format was spread outside Canada by SparkNet Communications . In 2004 the company entered the United States.
