The Unterhaardt is a geographical technical term and a landscape designation. Unterhaardt is the name given to the foothills of the Palatinate Forest between the Isenach valley near Bad Dürkheim and the northern end of the Haardtrand at the transition to the Rheinhessen table and hill country near Grünstadt . According to the definition of the nature conservation authorities of Rhineland-Palatinate, the Unterhaardt belongs to the large landscape "Northern Upper Rhine Lowland" and is managed as a subdivision unit 220 Unterhaardt .
