Signature folder

A signature folder is an everyday office tool. The folder, which is mostly designed for A4 formats , has up to 20 cardboard compartments and makes it easier to sign letters regularly. A letter is placed in each compartment so that the undersigned only has to leaf through it.

The cardboard pages are coated with blotting paper so that signatures with ink do not smear after they are closed. At the lower edge, the cardboard is usually cut off at different lengths to make it easier to leaf through. In addition, holes are punched in the cardboard so that you can see through all the holes from the first page whether there are still sheets in a rear compartment. Newer copies have a small viewing window on the front for labeling.

In contrast to the desk file , the individual compartments in a signature folder are not numbered or provided with letters from A to Z.
