Unterweirach in Partschins

The Unterweirachhof is a listed farm in Partschins .

It was first mentioned in 1344 as a farm on the lower Weidach , in 1552 it appeared as Unterweidach , 1900 as Unterweirauch , 1909 as Unterweirach .

In 1809 the courtyard was burned down by French troops and subsequently rebuilt. The " old Hainische vine " destroyed by the fire sprouted again and in 1979 was placed under natural monument protection.

At the beginning of the 19th century, the lawyer von Partschins (1807–1809), Thomas Gamper, owned the farm. In 1853 Josef Rapp was the owner, in 1907 the municipality of Merano bought the farm. Since 1912 the farm has been owned by the Schönweger family, who also run it. The Buschenschänke was opened in 1976 and is still there today.
