Urban camping

Urban camping or high camping is the name of a fashionable trend to camp on the flat roofs of houses or in the public space of cities. This type of camping is also known as stealth camping or guerrilla camping, terms that emphasize the illegal aspect of urban camping. Problems with the police and justice at Urban Camping can arise when owners of the flat roofs or municipalities make use of their house rights.
Urban Camping was created by a member of the CouchSurfing Community , an online community whose members provide each other with sleeping places. The term also includes camping in public places and sidewalks, for example to wait for ticket counters to open at certain events.
