Uniform distance indicator for international freight traffic

The uniform distance indicator for international freight transport is a European directory of rail freight transport offices . It is published by the International Union of Railways (UIC) . Its French-language name is: Distancier International Uniforme Marchandises , abbreviated: DIUM . It lists all freight yards as well as pick-up and delivery locations of the participating railway companies. Its purpose is the use by them themselves as well as the search for freight stations for customers.
