User clip plane

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A user clip plane is a cutting plane in a CAD model. In contrast to clipping , these cutting planes are not used to cut away parts of the model for faster calculation, but for better visualization, for example to expose the inside of an engine block. Professional graphics cards can calculate such cutting planes based on hardware.
