Uttedius Honoratus

Uttedius Honoratus (his praenomen is not known) was a Roman politician living in the 2nd century AD .

A military diploma proves that Honoratus was 144 governor of the province of Mauretania Tingitana on December 22nd . In an inscription dated October 28, 144, it is referred to as clarissimus vir .

  1. ^ According to Paul Holder (2004, 2006) it is unusual for a senator to be the governor of Mauretania Tingitana province . Other historians have therefore suggested that he may have been governor for Mauretania Tingitana and Mauretania Caesariensis at the same time .
