A copy of the petition ( libellus ) of the imperial freedman Arrius Alphius from 155, which he entrusted to the Pontifex Velius Fidus, whom he knew (CIL 06, 2120)

Decimus Velius Fidus was a Roman politician living in the 2nd century AD .

A military diploma dated December 22, 144 proves that Fidus 144 was a suffect consul with Marcus Calpurnius Longus . The two are also listed as consuls in an inscription that is dated 148/149.

The papyrus PSI IX 1026 , which is dated January 22, 150, shows that Fidus 150 was governor ( Legatus Augusti pro praetore ) of the province of Syria Palestine ; as governor he is also listed in another inscription that was found in Heliopolis .

A third inscription shows that a Velius Fidus 155 was pontiff ; this pontiff is identified with the consul.
