Uwe Stickert (* 1976 in Sonneberg ) is a German opera and concert singer ( lyric tenor ).

Life

Uwe Stickert completed his vocal studies at the Liszt School of Music in Weimar with Mario Hoff and graduated with distinction. Stations of his operatic career included a. the Komische Oper Berlin , the Aalto-Theater Essen, the Städtische Bühnen Heidelberg , the Nationaltheater Weimar and the Nationaltheater Mannheim .

Stickert has increasingly specialized in the French opera field. In 2014 he was Raoul in Les Huguenots . The magazine opernwelt mentioned him in the 2014 yearbook as one of the “important singers of the season”. In 2015 he sang Faust in La damnation de Faust . He made his debut as Raoul at the Opéra de Nice in 2016 and as Leopold in La Juive in Nuremberg . Gounod's Faust followed in Bern in 2017 . In 2018 Uwe Stickert sang Desportes in the soldiers by Bernd Alois Zimmermann at the Teatro Real in Madrid and at the Nuremberg Opera. He also sang Henri in Les vêpres siciliennes by Giuseppe Verdi for the first time .
