from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Václav Spourný ( Wencesla (u) s Joseph Sp (o) urni , * around 1700; † 1754 in Paris ) was a Czech composer.

Little more is known about Spourný's life than that he worked as a cellist in Paris. In addition to a motet for large choir, six sonatas for two cellos, three concertos for cello and bass, three symphonies for two cellos and two basses, three four-part concertos and several divertissements are preserved of his compositions.
