Vändra (Estonian: Vändra vald ) is a former Estonian rural community in Pärnu County with an area of 642 km². The population was 3126 (as of January 1, 2006). Its administrative seat was in Allikõnnu. In 2017 Vändra was incorporated into the rural municipality of Põhja-Pärnumaa .

The rural community enclosed the city of the same name, which did not belong to it, Vändra .

The rural community included the villages of Aluste, Allikõnnu, Kaansoo , Kadjaste, Kalmaru, Kirikumõisa, Kobra, Kose, Kullimaa, Kurgja, Leetva, Luuri, Lüüst, Massu, Mädara, Mustaru, Oriküla, Pärnjõe, Raõe, Rahnoäts, Repausa, Reinumurru , Samliku, Sikana, Suurejõe, Säästla, Tagassaare, Vaki, Venekuusiku, Veskisoo, Vihtra, Viluvere, Võidula, Võiera and Ünnaste.
Culture and sights
The memorial stone at the birthplace of the Estonian national poet Lydia Koidula and the museum for the Estonian writer Carl Robert Jakobson were worth seeing .
