Víctor Yturbe
Víctor Yturbe ( Víctor Manuel De Anda Iturbe ; born May 8, 1926 in Mexico City , † November 28, 1987 in Atizapán de Zaragoza ), known as El Piruli , was a Mexican singer.
Yturbe performed as a clown in a water ski show at the Posada Vallarta Hotel in Acapulco in the early 1960s and was nicknamed El Piruli (The Lollipop) on the occasion. His career as a singer began in the vicinity of the hotel, and it was here that his first album Noches en la Posada Vallarta was created in 1964 as a successful PR product for the hotel . He became known with the song Confidencias de amor . In the following years he took part in the OTI music festivals several times . In total he recorded more than a dozen albums, mostly in collaboration with Chamín Correa . Yturbe was murdered by three unknown perpetrators on the night of November 28, 1987.
