The press law responsibility of a person for the content of a newspaper , magazine or the like is indicated by the statement responsible in the sense of press law (mostly abbreviated with V. i. S. d. P. ).

The information is usually in the imprint or introduces it. It is generally not necessary - depending on the national press legislation - for advertising materials , one-off information materials, invitations and the like. The press laws enacted at state level regulate further matters. In Bavaria, for example, flyers and posters that call for a demonstration or are distributed at a demonstration must include a V. i. S. d. P. should be noted, while this is not necessary in other federal states.

This information can often be found on websites . It is controversial whether these are subject to press law.

Analog was the person in charge within the meaning of (2007 overridden entered) Media Services State Treaty as ViSdM referred.
