VDI 2166

The VDI 2166 is a series of guidelines of the Department of Building Services of the Association of German Engineers . The VDI guidelines contained in it are written in German and English. The guidelines are recognized rules of technology . In the event of damage, when assessing liability, experts often rely on whether such guidelines have been adhered to. The series of guidelines VDI 2166 has the main title "Planning of electrical systems in buildings" and then a subtitle for the respective individual topics:

  • Sheet 1 "Notes for energy controlling"
  • Sheet 2 "Instructions for electromobility"
  • Sheet 3 "Notes for audiovisual media technology" (in preparation)

The guidelines are drawn up by experts in voluntary joint work in a transparent process with public participation.
