Menhir Danthine
The Menhir Danthine (also called "Longue Pierre" or "Wéris Menhir") is located directly on the road from Barvaux to Erezée (N841) about one kilometer west of the village of Wéris in Durbuy in the province of Luxembourg in Belgium . The menhir was named after the archaeologist Hélène Danthine (1910-1992), who had it set up in 1948 on the street.
He was found in the field about 300 meters away. The information as to whether it was buried like other menhirs at Wéris or in the field vary.
The menhir made of pudding stone is around 3.6 meters high and is said to weigh around eight tons. The conglomerate is about two kilometers away. The menhir is attributed to the Champ de la Longue Pierre , where there were two other menhirs.
