VDI 3415
The guideline VDI 3415 of the Association of German Engineers (VDI) recommends a sensible procedure for the acceptance of woodworking machines.
scope of application
After the assembly of a woodworking machine, a systematic examination of the machine properties, the performance and the quality generated is useful in order to safeguard machine buyers and sellers. The processes used in mechanical engineering and particularly in the automotive industry go far beyond the requirements of the wood industry and the possibilities available here.
The new industry guideline VDI 3415 Part 1 gives practical information for the design of the project process for machine procurement and especially for acceptance. For the preparation and implementation of the acceptance, the framework conditions are described and procedures recommended that are intended to satisfy both suppliers and customers. Sensible characteristic values to be used and their calculation are suggested, typical acceptance scenarios are described as examples and examples of checklists and performance parameters are available in the appendix.
The VDI 3415 Part 2 provides statistical of methods that are also adapted to the needs of the industry and therefore for most small and medium enterprises should be manageable.
