Norwegian music charts

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The official Norwegian music charts are published under the name VG-lista .

They are published once a week by the Norwegian daily Verdens Gang (VG) and are considered the most important Norwegian chart statistics for albums and singles sold. The surveys themselves are carried out by Nielsen Soundscan International and are based on the sales figures of around 100 points of sale in Norway. The single charts began as a top 10 chart in 1958, calendar week 42, and became the top 20 charts in 1995, calendar week 5. At the same time in 1995, the top 20 album charts that had existed since 1967 changed to the top 40 album .
