The number one hits of the music industry in Norway are published weekly as VG-lista by the domestic daily newspaper Verdens Gang . The sales figures for singles and albums are used as a benchmark.

Swiss artist with number one hits

So far (as of 2/2015) no Swiss artist with a single or album has entered the Norwegian charts at number 1. The most successful Swiss single in the Norwegian charts was Swiss Lady by the Pepe Lienhard Band , from 1977, which rose to number 2 and lasted a total of 22 weeks. The most successful Swiss album in the Norwegian charts was Pocket Universe by Yello , from 1997, which reached its highest position at number 9 and stayed in the Norwegian charts for a total of 8 weeks.
