Lillebjørn Nilsen

Bjørn "Lillebjørn" Falk Nilsen (born December 21, 1950 in Oslo ) is a prominent Norwegian songwriter and folk singer. He is also known as "The Voice of Oslo" because he has written several well-known songs about the city since the 1970s. In 1987 he was awarded the Fritt Ord Prize . In 2010 Nilsen received the Norwegian Gammlengprisen for his musical life achievement.

Nilsen is a friend of Pete Seeger , whose song My Rainbow Race he translated into Norwegian under the title Barn av regnbuen (Children of the Rainbow) . On April 26, 2012, over 40,000 Norwegians sang the song as part of a protest demonstration against Anders Behring Breivik , who had indicated as a defendant in the trial because of the attacks he had committed, Nilsen for a “very good example of a Marxist” and the song for “brainwashing " to keep.
