The VHS-Bildungswerk GmbH is a non-profit education service provider headquartered in Magdeburg . At more than 20 locations in Brandenburg , Saxony-Anhalt and Thuringia , the company currently employs almost 500 people in the core areas of career orientation, career preparation, vocational training and further education , employment and qualification. In addition, the company has another focus on child and youth welfare.

The VHS-Bildungswerk was founded in 1990 as a subsidiary of the Lower Saxony Adult Education Center. Today it is a holding company of the DAA Foundation Education and Profession and a member of the General Employers' Association of Business for Saxony-Anhalt eV and the Federal Association of Medium-Sized Enterprises (BVMW). In all three federal states there is also recognition as a provider of free youth welfare.
