Vachette leather

Vachetteleder (from the French for vache beef, [ vaˈʃɛt ]) is a lightly greased tan leather that is made from the thin hides of cattle .

Vachette leather was and is naturally colored, dyed or used as furniture leather in saddlery , shoe industry , car making and in the furniture industry .
