Vaidotas (* in the 14th century; † after 1401) was the son of Prince Kęstutis in the Grand Duchy of Lithuania , who died defending the strategically important Lithuanian castle Kaunas . Little is known about it, but it is mentioned in the chronicles and in the chrestomatic sources of the history of Lithuania , as well as the defense of the Kaunas castle itself. In 1401, in the document of Grand Duke Vytautas , brother of Vaidotas, it is mentioned that Vytautas was the administration the (today's Belarusian) city of Nawahrudak had entrusted his brothers Vaidotas and Tautvilas Kęstutaitis in equal parts.
