Vaipouli College

Vaipouli College is a secondary school on the island of Savaiʻi in the island state of Samoa . The college is one of nine public schools on the island. It is co-educational and is for pupils aged 9 to 13. Another name is Salafai College , referring to the formal name Salafai for the island of Savaiʻi.

history

Vaipouli College was founded as an agricultural college for boys in 1922 during colonial rule by New Zealand .

The college is located in the area of ​​the village of Matautu , inland above the village of Avao in the itumalo Gagaʻemauga , on the north side of the island. Even the drive to the school, past the Vaipouli Waterfall is worth seeing.

In 2012 the school was closed.

School hours

The school year is divided into three terms: from February to May, from June to September and from September to early December.
